Senior US GAAP Accountant

About the Role

Vance & Cole is seeking a Senior US GAAP Accountant to handle complex month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, and technical accounting research for our CPA firm clients. You will be the go-to person for multi-entity consolidations, intercompany transactions, and ASC standard application. This senior role carries significant autonomy - you will own client deliverables end-to-end with minimal supervision, while mentoring junior team members on US GAAP methodology.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute full month-end and year-end close processes for 5-8 CPA firm client portfolios, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare US GAAP-compliant financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and accompanying footnote schedules.
• Handle complex technical accounting areas: ASC 842 (Leases), ASC 606 (Revenue), ASC 326 (CECL), and ASC 718 (Stock Compensation).
• Perform multi-entity consolidations including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and minority interest calculations.
• Research and document technical accounting positions for client-specific transactions with proper ASC codification references.
• Mentor 2-3 junior accountants on US GAAP standards, review their workpapers, and provide constructive technical feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with significant exposure to US GAAP financial reporting and month-end close.
• CPA (Philippines) required; US CPA or pursuing US CPA is a strong advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks Enterprise for multi-entity accounting.
• Working knowledge of ASC codification - particularly ASC 842, 606, and 326.
• Experience preparing audit-ready workpapers and supporting external audit requests.
• Available for US shift hours from Cebu IT Park. Proven ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously.
